The BIG JANOME Skill Share with Stacey Chapman!
In 2022, Janome teamed up with the incredible Stacey Chapman to launch the BIG JANOME skill share. The goal of this project was to inspire stitchers to learn free motion embroidery. Stacey demonstrated how to create fabulous postcards celebrating Queen Elizabeth II jubilee. Sadly as we all know, later that same year her majesty The Queen passed away. From this moment on the skill share changed from celebrating the jubilee to celebrating the life of Queen Elizabeth II. The amazing postcards can be seen in a gallery below!
As part of the celebration of the Queen Elizabeth II, Stacey created two incredible portraits, proudly sponsored by Janome. These portraits were displayed at Sewing for Pleasure at the NEC alongside the postcards.
The BIG JANOME Skill Share Postcards
Thank you to everyone who took part in our postcard project!
We were inspired and immensely proud of all the postcards that celebrated Queen Elizabeth II's jubilee and her reign. Below are some of the postcards which were proudly displayed at the Sewing for Pleasure 2023 exhibition at the NEC.
